11/20/2022 0 Comments The fault in our stars songsThis is definitely no Ed Sheeran All of the Stars, but it’s similar in that these two songs were written just for The Fault in Our Stars. Although this is not the happy poppy song you were probably hoping to hear, it’s still the perfect track for the my version of the soundtrack. Not only is Troye Sivan a fellow YouTuber like Green himself, but this song was also written because of his book (If you have not yet figured this out John Green wrote the original book The Fault in Our Stars and that’s what the movie is based off of). If John Green had any say in what music they used in the movie I’m almost sure this would be in it. I feel like this would be the perfect title track for the movie and it’d be a great opener for the soundtrack. The movie stays pretty true to the book, so if you’ve read the book there’s not much in the movie that’s new. If you don’t mind the spoilers then read on. Note: Just thought I’d mention there are probably movie/book spoilers, so if you have not seen the movie or read the book (one or the other) and do not want me to spoil it then don’t read this post. Part two the next 8 songs, will come in a later post. This is part 1 so I will only be explaining the first 8 songs my version of the album. This is my version of the Fault in Our Stars soundtrack and since there’s 16 songs on the soundtrack I have also chosen 16 songs for my version. That led me to think what if I created the Fault in Our Stars soundtrack? What would the soundtrack be like? That’s where this comes in. Listening to the album I noticed how a lot of the music was like some of the stuff in my playlists on Spotify. All the music in the movie was amazing and the soundtrack was practically all I listened to during the month of July. So, I recently saw the Fault in Our Stars and I absolutely loved it (yeah I know I’m like a month late, but at least I got to see the movie and I read the book last year). Effusive California indie rockers Grouplove offer up a buoyant and wholehearted balm for what ails us with the likeable (and danceable) "Let Me In," alluring Swedish songtress Lykke Li unveils the ballad "No One Ever Loved," a lush bit of languid, piano-led melancholy that sounds like the lost tenth track from her excellent 2014 long-player I Never Learn, and Charlotte Emma Aitchison, better known as Charli XCX, drops a big, radio-ready slab of electro-pop goodness with "Boom Clap," rounding out a more or less solid collection of heartfelt pop songs that, refreshingly, feel genuinely connected to the film, and not just cobbled together for the sake of commerce.Hey! I know this has nothing to do with fashion, but I’m working on something fashion related that is going up real soon. Sourced track highlights include previously released offerings from Jake Bugg ("Simple as This"), Tom Odell ("Long Way Down"), and M83, the latter of whom's "Wait" is lent gravitas by the director through a moving story he spins in the liner notes, but the majority of the soundtrack is stocked with exclusives. The task of tackling the film's title track went to soulful Brit Ed Sheeran, and the resulting "All of the Stars" tastefully wraps book references and character lines in an appropriately weepy melody that's both familiar and emotionally charged, but manages to avoid coming off as too maudlin. The non-score soundtrack for director Josh Boone's big screen rendering of author John Green's wildly popular 2012 young adult novel The Fault in Our Stars was curated by Boone and music supervisor Season Kent, and dutifully reflects all of the hope, anger, heart, and pain that lie at the center of Green's tale of two teens wrestling with the incredible complexities of love and cancer.
